Jemma and Boo in action!

September 3rd, 2006, 11:17 PM
More pics of Jemma and Boo.. Sorry. :o

I got a sequence of Jemma jumping into the water last week...
(her head never gets wet! :D)

Boo just waits for her to come back so he can steal the air dog...

Guilty boy nearly ran to the neighbor's... :frustrated:

Boo looks like ; what ? what I"ve I done????

September 3rd, 2006, 11:27 PM
lol ya, but he quickly forgets... This was about 5 seconds later...

Are you gonna throw the air dog for me?

I'm not really going to jump off the dock, but I'll pretend that I'm ready to, just to get in Jemma's way.

Jemma taking a break so Boo can have a turn (or at least a head start)

She lets him get it and has her own fun... She doesn't need an air dog to be happy in the water...

Doesn't my Boo look like Jag the Weim from the other thread? (here (

I think so. That's why he gets along with them so much- shared DNA.:D

Great pics, Prin. How come Boo wears a life jacket and Jemma doesn't?

yayyy jemma n'boo pix :D Love those, they look so happy and totally in their element, doing what they love best. also that jemma launching herself in the water sequence is awesome, don't you love your new camera? :thumbs up

Great pix as always Prin! Do you ever swim with them?

September 4th, 2006, 06:57 PM
Nah, I don't swim much (traumatized as a youth ;)), but it's fun to watch them and they soak me anyway. :D

Boo wears a life jacket because of the boats. He swims out too far sometimes and being just a black head above the water, they don't see him. He almost got hit by a twit one summer and has worn the jacket ever since.

We went up today too (yey rental car!) and there was nobody around so Boo went in nekkid. He swims so much higher now without his life jacket on. Before he would have trouble keeping his head up because he had gotten used to the floaty, but now I guess his legs are stronger or something.

btw, yes, I do LOVE my camera. It's amazing. :)

AAAWWWW! Great pix Prin. Sam is terrified of the water.

It's hard to see any dogs swimming in the water from a boat, unless they're white. We almost hit a labrador this summer when we had our boat on the river because he was right in the middle of the river and the current was too swift for him to do much more than tread water.
I'm guessing someone left their dog on shore and when they took off the dog tried to follow them (people around here let dogs run loose a lot). None of the other boaters even saw the dog, and the only reason I noticed it is 'cause I thought it was a log and I told my b/f to watch out. I then realized the "log" was moving and soon after, I saw it was a dog. Luckily there's no way we could leave a dog out there to get hit, so we rescued it and drove it back to shore, but I have no doubt that if us our someone else hadn't taken it to shore it would have been killed.
After that we always watch Walnut really close when we have her out swimming, and now she has a bright orange life jacket.

aren't any of these morons aware that dogs get tired and DROWN??

omg... :( !!!

September 4th, 2006, 11:15 PM
Lucky you saw it. When Boo almost got hit, it was fairly close to the shore but the twits were being twits and weren't watching and acted like this was their own private lake. We were screaming and waving at them to watch out (we're on a little outward curve in the shoreline, so we were very visible), but they just weren't paying attention.:frustrated:

More Jemma and Boo pix! Never get enuff! Please?

September 4th, 2006, 11:35 PM
Really? I was starting to feel like one of those over-proud, under-accomplished soccer moms.:D Like this:

Other furmom: So, Fido is sick today.
Me: Oh, yeah, Jemma's the best! And Boo, he's awesome too!
Other furmom: Um... So ya, so he's gonna need surgery. It's pretty bad.
Me: Jemma and Boo ROCK! Here's another picture! WOO!

Here are two more that I haven't posted yet.. My artistic impressions of Boo and Jemma:
(Boo was slightly more cooperative...:o)

Those are great. At first I didn't realize they were holding a toy until I noticed Boo's shadow.

September 5th, 2006, 12:34 AM

More great pics. Looks like Jemma has a teeny weeny pawprint on her nose.

September 5th, 2006, 03:03 PM
omg I never noticed that. I mean I noticed the spot, but not the paw print. That's a scar from getting cut up on the ice last winter.:(

Techno, a lot of cameras can do these (macro shots)... I know my tiny canon crappycam has a macro setting too.:)
