Grooming/clipping question

I am going to trim Melei's hair myself with clippers, but I have one question before I start.

cah I cut off her whiskers or is like cat whiskers and will cause problems if they are gone?

I can't remember if the groomer took them off or not

Everybody I know who gets groomed gets the whiskers groomed too. I find it makes them a bit prickly though, but there's no harm as far as I know.:)

Just be careful that the razor doesn't get too hot.

Shave them off. Dogs, in my experience, don't seem to be particularly sensitive around the muzzle. I don't think they serve any sensory function.
