I would like a 15 foot lead so I can get started on training my puppy. All the pet
supply stores (even the botique ones) and discount stores only carry 6 foot leads (useless for training.)
Anyone have a source?:dog:

Hi there. I know that stores that carry livestock equipment have horse leads that are quite long. In fact you might have to cut it down to the size you would like.

Here's some online places:

I bought a 30ft woven leash at Petsmart. It was more expensive than I should have paid. Saw a 20ft nylon one at a dollar store a week later..
I currently have a 75 footer I made from nylon cord from Home depot and a snap swivel from there too, made a loop as a handle on one end. all of $10..
Only thing to watch is when using it it doesn't wrap around an ankle. The rope burn is wicked.

I strongly echo Mama's recommendation. You can easily find horse longe lines (for exercising horses) in a tack store, for pretty cheap. No rope burn too.

I have a lunge lead for horses that I use for my dog, I believe its 50 feet and I got it for under $20:ca: so it would be cheaper for you. Its great very strong and has a great clasp on it. They carry them in Co-op stores and tac shops.

Thanks, I'll try the local feed store.
BTW, I'm using one of my boat ropes now, Idon't like it as well as a flat lead.
Also, thanks for all the online links. I'd rather order stuff online and let the post-lady bring it to me.
