I better add 3 and 10 from the original list though or else if he sees this post I'll get yelled at ;) .

I had to laugh at this: 1. Doesn't scare small children
because he most DEFINATELY scares small children LOL

At least he qualifies for half of this!
1. Breathing
2. Doesn't miss the toilet

gosh none of those lists include "Must love pets"

"4. A caring listener"
that reminds me of my really unfortunate meetups with Lavalife people. *shrug* (not doing that ever again!)
seems that if you talk at all they don't care to listen and they never speak to you ever again unless you're willing to just show up and listen to what they expect from someone but god forbid you have any requests.:frustrated:

and this
"3. Has enough money for a nice dinner"
you'll be lucky if they offer to pay for your tea :frustrated:

no wonder some people are on ther

lol Jiorji, what are you don't on dating thingies? You'll get a guy even without those. You just have to learn to put out easier. :D KIDDING! Kids, don't try that at home (or anywhere else).

You just have to get a big, muscley dog and a Toyota FJ (aka man magnets).

Nature loving, strong, loves going for walks, those are good qualities and attainable in most guys.

Sensitive, enjoys expressing feelings, talking (what women consider talking anyway), and watching romantic chick flicks...welllll...you're better off finding g/f's to do stuff like that with and just getting a normal guy, or else you'll be looking forever, lol.

Also, try talking to some of the guys you wouldn't expect to be that way, because MOST guys put on a front for people they don't know well, but many guys have some of the more "sensitive" qualities and just won't express it outwardly.

Oh and the dating sites, bleh. You're better off just talking and getting to know lots of guys and deciding who you like, because most guys aren't going to put accurate info on their profile.

Self-evaluation . . . .

What I Want in a Man, Revised List

I'm 47.

1. Keeps hair in nose and ears trimmed - Not generally. The lady cutting my hair in small-town Alberta, a friend of my wife, goes GRRR!!! when she sees me and digs into my ears to trim them. I do it myself occasionally but obviously not enough. My grandfather had famously gigantic tuffs sticking out of his ears and nose. Rather imposing.

2. Doesn't belch or scratch in public not when I'm with him - carbonization is no friend of the common, mortal man. We MUST belch.

3. Doesn't borrow money too often - technically, as the sole bread-winner, I'm not borrowing but I will ask her for $20 or so out of her wallet. Fairly frequently. I don't carry a lot of money around.

4. Doesn't nod off to sleep when I'm venting - As long as the TV isn't on behind her head, she does pretty well in keeping me riveted.

5. Doesn't retell the same joke too many times - I can't remember jokes. Not a single one.

6. Is in good enough shape to get off couch on weekend - I ran 1.5 hours without stopping yesterday. Two half-marathons coming up in Sept.

7. Usually wears matching socks and fresh underwear - they're supposed to match? Fresh as a daisy otherwise. I've heard some people flip their underwear inside out for Day 2. Not me.

8. Appreciates a good TV dinner - cooking is infrequent in our house but Mrs. C is certainly an outstanding cook. I'm just not an outstanding eater.

9. Remembers your name on occasiononly in public - After 23 years of being together, I'm not stumped anymore. My problem is that I can't remember the names of anyone else, so its difficult and embarrassing to introduce her to people I allegedly know.

10. Shaves some weekends - Didn't shave Saturday. Did shave Sunday.

What I tell guys is that yes, sometimes gases are produced by the body, ANY body, but the difference between a man and a woman (in general of course ;)) is that for some reason, the man always feels the need to get his vocal cords mixed in there, just for amplification or something.

Man, I wish I had kept the list of things I want in a partner before I got into my current relationship -- I think if I listed them out now they would be sorely biased by what I KNOW I don't have! haha

1. Handsome -- yes
2. Charming -- sometimes
3. Financially successful -- very much so
4. A caring listener -- hmmm...
5. Witty -- he has his moments
6. In good shape -- yes
7. Dresses with style -- does dressing himself count?
8. Appreciates finer things -- I'm not sure what this has to do with anything, but he appreciates "finer" tools from Home Depot haha
9. Full of thoughtful surprises -- He brought me roses the other day for no reason :D
10. An imaginative, romantic lover -- imaginative, maybe. Romantic...I don't know if I'd go that far. haha!

How about:

11. Intelligent - absolutely
12. Humble - very much so
13. Chivalrous - yes
14. Good with children - yes
15. Appreciative of me - NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
