I got home last night to discover that my dog had gotten in the garbage and eaten tampons (probably 3-4). Do I need to be concerned about him eating those? He is acting fine and bathroom habits haven't changed as of yet. Any ideas?

my girl did this years ago, including plastic wrappers (dont leave hadbags on floor anymore). she was fine, nothing happened and she passed normal bowel motions ect, if the plastic was not on them i would think thet they would break down in stomach. I have even heard of people feeding their dogs cotton wool for various ailments and things eaten that shouldnt have been. just keep an eye on him ( cheeky bugger;) ) remember most tampons are made from cotton. but ring your vet just to be sure, keep an eye on him, im not sure how long it takes a dog to digest something, find out and time him and see what happens, arent they just silly sometimes, and also a little grose as well:D :D :D
