For my birthday yesterday, one of our stops was the new gigantic ferris wheel in Niagara Falls. This thing is 175 feet tall. Each compartment has both heat and AC and it sits 6-8 people. It provided an amazing view because of the very clear night. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the falls :)

Here are some pictures..Enjoy

I agree Prin...ferris wheels scare the crap out of me.

I ride motorcycles, LOVE roller coasters, and thoroughly enjoyed skydiving, yet I'm scared of ferris wheels! :p weird!

I love motorcycles and OLD roller coasters, (I don't like the new spin you on your head ones) but I'm very afraid on Ferris Wheels because they stop at the top. I like when you're moving but hate hate hate being stopped. They should be one at a time rides. You get on, go around a few times and get off---no stops !!

lol we should go on a screamer together then. lol My friends won't go with me anymore because I'm too embarrassing. :D If I'm not screaming, I'm sitting there mumbling my last words.:D

This ferris wheel is different because you are in an enclosed room. Almost like an elevator with seats. You have AC and lights etc, and comfy benches. The doors also lock, so there is no jumping out etc.

But do they still sway? They must, right?

No swaying at all when you are up there. A bit when you step on, but the things are so heavy and structurely sound that there was no movement. Even when some of us got up and switched seats.

I'm no fan of rollercoasters either.

I had to take them through the glass of the cart so they didnt turn out so hot. It was also really dark and I couldnt use my flash :(

Hey, I don't mind. That's what it would look like to me anyway, right before I pass out.:D

Really ?? No Swaying ??? The swaying is what I hate. I might be persuaded if there was no swaying and the stops were short.

HAHAHA! glad I can prepare you :)

My friend on the cart with us was deathly afraid of heights and rides. She was freaked at first, then realized how safe it was. There is even an emergency call button in case you get really freaked.

When I lived in Lasalle,my appartment was on the second floor.I stayed there for 3-4 years. The only time I went out on the balcony was to wash my patio doors! No way you're getting me on a rollercoaster/ferris wheel.
