Hi - This is my first post to the forum. I am wondering if anyone here is making their own raw food. We are thinking of switching from our raw supplier and making it ourselves as one of our dogs has developed an allergy. Any advice out there?? Thanks!

hello and welcome to the forum :)
most people who feed raw cannot afford to purchase pre-made mixes, so yes there are some very simple ways to "make" your own raw food :p
here is why whole raw foods are better for your dog than ground raw foods: http://rawfed.com/myths/ground.html
and resources on how to do it: http://rawfed.com/myths/know.html
let's see a photo of your beautiful dog! :thumbs up

This is Piper. She is an 8 month old pug:
This is Piper with Kirby. Kirby is a rescued dog from Alberta. He is 7. We are not sure of his cross - we call him a North American Brown Dog:
This is the Chunk. She is an 11 year old ShihTzu - she is the quieen of our house:
This is Mackenzie - our wild child. She has aggression issues and she is also a rescued dog:
This is Clio - she is a blind and brain damaged ShihTzu cross. Also a rescued dog. My partner works at an animal shelter.
THis is Madison - also rescued. She is an 11 year old Heeler/Shepherd cross:
And that is the crew!!!

Good for you....the world needs more people like you who open their homes to all of these wonderful homeless furkids. We have somewhat small living quarters so we don't have the space to accomodate so many animals, but God I'd love to have a farm so that I could get as many dogs and cats as it would hold :cloud9: I'd just sleep in the barn or something :p
