Let me introduce myself. My name is Jim and I live in Northern Illinois. My wife and I have two cats (Taco and Chester) Taco is 18 yrs and Chester 3. Recently our 15 year old Springer/Cocker mix, named Max, was taken to the Happy Hunting Ground. We had Max since he was 1 and we dearly miss him.

Interested in any leads on adopting a young party color neutered male cocker spaniel. Since I raised and showed Old English Sheepdogs in the '70's, I would even consider a retired show dog. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to you and your fur kids. Have you checked petfinder.com or breed specific rescues in your area. There are always lots of dogs looking for forever homes.

Thanks for your reply. I checked pet finder, but no luck at this time. Since this will be such a special selection, I am trying to find a kind loving boy that will get along with the cats, I am willing to keep looking. Max was that kind of a friend to my wife and I!

I would check the breed rescues or contact breeders who might be retiring a show dog. But patience and you will find a new friend I get that Buddy is mine
