My 5 month old lab has inward curving front paws...

Hello to all,

I have a 5 month old yellow lab (Jack). He's a great dog, full of life, and I just loves him. One thing I've noticed about his two front paws are the two middle claws are pointed inward. Last night, he went for one of his scheduled vet appointments and I brought the subject up. She stated it was a medial deviation of the 2nd and third digits. It might be genetic, perhaps a calcium deficiency, or something other. It might pose a problem in the future, and she said it was something they should monitor.

I was wondering if anyone else has had something similar diagnosed with their dog and whether it is a cause for concern. I'll try to show some pics later on.

Cheers...
