This male cat has been around since the beginning of December. At that time my own cat was lost and this one showed up while out calling for Tigger. For a while I thought it was a neighbour's. I recently brought him in out of the cold but my other cats do not get along with him. He gets along well with the dog though and is very friendly. If you have lost a cat back in November or earlier please contact me with his description or picture. I live near a train yard so he may even have hitched a ride from farther away. The area I live in is around the QEW and Islington Ave. near the Willowbrook VIA Maintenance yard and Mimico Go Station.

Have u had the cat scanned for microchip and called the shelters?
January 17th, 2004, 07:07 PM
Yes he was scanned back around Christmas time but no microchip was found. I've been checking with all the shelters since the beginning of December. I would phone looking for my cat and then enquire about the stray one. No one filed any lost reports about him though. He may have been missing for months before I found him and they didn't bother to update the report.

My son's lost his cat when he moved to his first apartment Jan 1, 2003. It’s been a long time, he’s been keeping an eye open for a year now in his area, he says he’s checked the animal shelters, but I wish for you to keep an eye open. He was an adorable cat, scared of his own shadow but a likeable cat. Soft silky black and white fur. He was lost in the Lloyd George Ave, Etobicoke area. Not far from Long Branch Go Station. Just a little north of it up Brown's Line. Please see his picture for reference. He was two years then and now three. I pray he’s ok. He's black and white. Black nose, black feet, white chest, little white on around nose and sort of a upside down ^ between his eyes that is white. my email : firstname.lastname@example.org for any ideas. I do have a picture of Tippy, but do not understand how to attach it to this posting. Please email me and I can send you an email of him. Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry to hear your son lost his cat. I'm not quite sure where Lloyd Ave. is but I've heard of Lloyd Manor rd. Where is Lloyd Ave located near? The picture link that you posted doesn't seem to be working. Can you redo it or maybe just post the link address to the picture. I have seen a black and white cat who comes here to eat sometimes. Does your son's cat have long or short fur? Large cat or small cat?

I'm very sorry Nancy. This is not the same cat. Have you tried all the other online sites to post this picture of your cat? Or checked the pictures on all the rescue groups?
here's a few....
http://www.petharbor.com will give you a list of lost pets in local shelters. I find just checking off "animal type" and leaving the rest as no preference works best. Try the maximum search as well.
http://www.torontohumanesociety.com/newlook/lostanimals/indx.html this one is similar but may be more updated. Again, try the maximum search for all shelters.
http://www.petfinder.org/ be sure to check off Pic Preview on left. From this one you can search through all the shelters listings. I also sent each one an email with a picture and description of the cat I had go missing so they could keep an eye out for him.
Also check the message board there and leave an ad as well.
Also try adoption sites too in your area. These are farther south.
And keep checking all the online newspaper classifieds
http://www.cityparent.com/classifieds/leisure/index.html Halton Newspaper online lost and found
Toronto Star Found section

I'm sorry it's not Dakota too but I would like to thank you for all the extra sites that you have given me to aid in the search to bring Kota home. There should be more people like you in the world

Hi Nancy, My son's cat is not a fat cat. He's not a large cat, just average size. His fur is or was very silky. Not short and not long. Ahhhhhhh I see on this reply message the browse button to choose my picture file. let me try. I pray you have seen him. My son would be overwhelmed with joy if we found him. We had him since he was born and to us when he could fit in your palm.
My son's apartmen was on Llody George Avenue, which is just east of Long Branch Go Station, north on Brown's line a little bit and he's now on Foche Avenue, which is a couple of blocks from Lloyd George Avenue. He could walk to the Go station in about 10 minutes. Have you seen TippY... I hope.

I'm sorry. This cat is not Tippy. I will keep my eyes open for him though and pass this picture on to my friend who works in the Go Maintenance yard. He finds all kinds of cats on the trains or in the yard. I'll let you know if I hear anything.
Have you tried all the links that I posted previously here? Your son could trying posting an ad in the LOST section of the Etobicoke Guardian. It's free for one week.
