This is a letter I recieved from a fellow Greyhound Mother, can anyone help???ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. OUR VET SAID HE HAS NEVER SEEN SUCH SPLITS IN
ALL HIS 30YRS. OF PRACTICE. HAS NO MAGIC CURE.

OUR GREY(PHEOBE) HAS HAD THIS SINCE THE MIDDLE OF WINTER, AND HAS
VIRTUALLY BEEN IMOBILE SINCE THEN, EXCEPT TO GO OUT FOR HER DAILY
DOINGS. A VERY SAD LITTLE GIRL INDEED WHICH IS HARD TO WATCH.

SHE IS A RETIRED RACER, WHO WAS TAKEN OFF TRACK DUE TO A BROKEN HOCK,
WHICH IN ITSELF TOOK ALONG TIME TO RECOVER FROM, AND NOT TO A 100%
BETTER, SO SHE HAS HAD HER FAIR SHARE OF TROUBLES. NOW THIS HAS
HAPPENED WHICH APPARENTLY ISEN'T UNCOMMEN, BUT NOT TO THE EXTENT THAT
SHE HAS.

THESE WEBS ARE COMPLETELY OPEN TO THE FULLEST, AND ARE NOT HEALING OVER.

HAVE DONE EVERYTHING POSSIBLE BUT TO NO AVAIL.

SUGGESTIONS OR ANY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS WOULD BE SO APPRECIATED. THANKS:sorry: didn't realize I was yelling.

"OntarioGreys" rescues retired Greyhounds, so she is definitely somebody that you should talk to. She may be able to help. I hope she sees this, or maybe you could PM her.:fingerscr

I have not had trouble cut webbing just minor cuts to their pads and hocks, their thin skin is a real pain and they bleed like the dickens  , my suggestion to you is to post to www. Greytalk.com , I know there are others there who have went thru this before and can offer advice on how their vet handled. It is a large forum you will get answer fairly fast

One question how do the nails look, is their any problem with them or funky growth, it could be an autoimmune disease called SLO info on Greytalk about this as well
