our 5 year old yellow lab has stopped eating her food. It has been three days now. She also whines alot, she has food available and water, we put her out when she asks.
How can we get her to eat?? We are tight on cash so something we can do at home would be great!?

The good news is that it is probably not bloat. If it was, your dog would be dead now.
If she is not acting like herself and hasn't eaten she needs to see a vet. If you have a regular vet, I am sure the office would be willing to work something out as far as payments.

Unfortunately a trip to the vet is a must. She is in pain, and not eating. There is definately something wrong.I can't see anything being done from home.Yes see if they have a payment plan,or can you borrow the money?Friends, family. Please do what you can to get her to a vet asap.

How is your dog doing now?
Unfortunately like the others have said, when an animal stops eating, it's a sure sign they are sick - merely finding something to tempt her to eat won't cure her.
If she's still not seen a vet & is unwell, post back - is she vomiting, diarrhea, pale gums, tender stomach? Have you opened her mouth wide and checked her teeth & mouth for some injury or obstruction? Is she drooling a lot? If you put your head to her stomach, is there noise, or complete silence? Is she drinking at all?
