Stroke or Canine Vestibular Disorder?

My pommie, unknown age but at least 10, had a freaky incident last nite. I was out eating and he became so excited by my food. He fell over on his side and righted himself, but one side of his body didn't work for about two minutes. I wasn't able to tell how much of his body was involved, but the motions that make up walking weren't working. I finally gave him my leftover food, and he recovered nicely. This morning he's like usual. I wonder if he could have a brain tumor? Or something else? I know there is a list of possiblities. He is blind in one eye, btw. I've had him for almost a year and a half, and he has had asthma attacks this summer, which I give him brethine for situationally. He rarely has collapsing trachea, and is in fact 15 pounds.

Any ideas?

I think a trip to the vet is in order. Let us know what they say.
