anyone own a 2003 echo?

I took over a lease of a 2003 echo in march.

I noticed when I got the car that the upper left side of the lite dash was dark, as if a bulb was burn't, as well as the back seat dosn't latched closed.

I had it in the dealer for to be looked at. They did the oil change and changed my air filter (with out asking) my bf worked in the custermer sevice warranty dept. at another dealer and told the guy that they have to ask before changing parts.

Any how dark patch still there (guy said all lights worked) is dark patches not light on an illuminated dash normal , and paper said my seat latches... no it doesn't (unless I dont know how?) other side works.

I feel like they didn't look at my car just did the work i was paying for.

so is it normal for parts of the dash not to light up?

My parents have one (may be 2004). Is it the hatchback or the one with the trunk? 2 door or 4 door?

By latch, you mean the seats that open and close to make the trunk bigger? I know on my parents car, which was off lease as well, they were REALLY hard to latch and unlatch.

As for the lights, my parents complained that the dash was dark as well. It's just how it is designed.
