Pawz is on crack (of course I'm joking!)

This is more of a curiosity thing...

Sometimes Pawz will paw near his food as if he's trying to cover it up with litter (like he does with his excrement in the litter box) and I'm not worried or anything, just confused...

Anyone heard of this? Seen this? Or is Pawz getting into the catnip too much? (actually he hasn't had any...)

I believe cats do this to "hide" their food. Completely normal. A few of my cats have done it.

Both of my cats do it now and I had one before that also did this  behaviour. My one cat now carries a piece of kibble into where we are sitting moaning and growling like they do when the've found a treasure spits it on the floor and then eats it and goes back for another piece, and it starts all over, only for two and then she eats out of the bowl like a normal cat, answer me this:confused:
