just adopted Fany (Dani) from Sashas Den

June 5th, 2006, 03:01 PM
I wanted to take a moment and say hello to this wonderful community as evryone seems open and friendly here and I am happy to be a part of this community as well.

I visited Sashas den and resuce yesterday and went away with a warm feeling in my heart knowing I adopted and saved a beautiful dog.

Our new family member was named Fany by Sashas and since she only had that name for a week my daughter decided she is more of a Dani and this is her new permannent home name.

Dani is going to the vet tomorrow to check wether she need sterilization and as soon as she recovers the next day I am making the hour drive to the country to bring her to a new home where she will be loved and cared for.

The only sad thing is I wish I could have adopted more then one dog as they are all so beautiful .

Sashas Den is doing such a great job!

Here is a picture of me and Dani my daughter was to shy to get in the picture.

All the best to everyone here and a special thanks to Claire-Lise of Sashas Den for making feel at home yesterday!!!!

She is a cuties and I can't wait till tomorrow when I pick her up and bring her to her new home.

Wonder if it;s possible to love toooooooo much our new family member.

I even asked my wife yesterday if we could adopt one more dog to keep Dani company and give a home to a second shelter dog but she insists one is plenty.....

Ohhh well maybe in time she will give in ....

Here is the picture that made me fall in love with her even before I met her :)
Meeting her sealed it !!!!

Congratulations, Dani is gorgeous.

Hmm maybe she needs to spend some time on a dog forum were the norm is having multiple dogs, typically 3 or more. This post here was a request for signature pictures to try to include all their pets or at least dogs into one signature picture for this forum
But then maybe not :p if she gets wrapped up in this forum you may find yourself not only with multiple dogs but extensive wardrobes for each :p
The site is geared mostly for those that have adopted a retired racing greyhounds but there are a few members who have other breeds who enjoying part of the community of dog owners. I have watched many come on the forum only planning to adopt one dog and a few months later may have 2 or 3. And should she find herself getting caught up with greyhounds there is a rescue in Quebec as well.
