does it take, on average, to receive the product? i just ordered some from http://www.vetproductsdirect.com.au/usacad/ and was wondering when to expect the package. Also, they said for US residents a vet Rx was needed, but didn't say anything for Canadian residents, this is correct info or did i miss something? merci mademoiselle! :)

I don't remember how long it took, but it was faster than I had expected. :o As for the Rx, last year I emailed them to be sure and they said that no, we don't need one from Canada. :thumbs up

ok, thanks so much! :)
May 24th, 2006, 07:04 PM
How much was the shipping?
May 24th, 2006, 07:17 PM
Usd $6.55 :)

I'll have to bookmark that site (I've already bought his summer supply)... That's much cheaper than my vet, and after getting fleas somewhere in our travels around Christmas time, I'm erring on the side of caution and protecting the dog year round.
May 24th, 2006, 08:59 PM
I just ordered from them. The price is almost half of what I would have paid from the vet.

Usd $6.55 :)
I ordered 3 brown heartgards (for the big dags), and one blue (for my dad's little guy), and my shipping was $6.75 US. Not too bad!:) I ordered them Monday, so we'll see when they arrive...:fingerscr

Man, my revolution was like 108.. it would be like 62 + shipping from there.. big diff..
May 25th, 2006, 09:25 PM
Yep. My heartgard is $64 from the vet and it's like $30 something from there. Plus with our dollar being higher now, it's very close.;)
May 25th, 2006, 09:49 PM
Never thought about..
ANd assumed the vet wouldn't write me a prescription..
First year I've had to buy it (roomie did last yr) so I never thought about choice.
May 26th, 2006, 12:00 AM
For a lot of them you don't need a prescription from Canada.;)
May 26th, 2006, 12:10 AM
Had no clue till it came up here..
What do your vets say about it.. you go for hw testing and say see ya, or?
May 26th, 2006, 12:14 AM
Yeah, pretty much. I've been going to him since I was 10ish, so I know him pretty well. He knows I'm a starving student, so he doesn't mind too much (I hope). My dad is worried though because this is the first time I bought him some too and he has no idea what to tell the vet... :D I said to say he still had some left from last year (which he does) or that I bought him some.
If my vet is as good as I think he is, he will be happy that we're giving them the pills, and stick to making his money off all the xrays and blood tests we ask for.;)

June 28th, 2006, 12:33 AM
It took mine about 2 weeks... Felt like longer, but I just checked and it was 2 weeks.:o
June 28th, 2006, 12:38 AM
Thanks Prin :)
How are they? I have issues with online ordering, especially pet meds, but since other doggy devotees trust them, I tried it out.
June 28th, 2006, 12:42 AM
They're fine. No français on the package because they're from Australia, but otherwise fine. Mine expire in Aug 07.:)
