critters under the deck

I think we may have something living under our deck.

There doesn't seem to be any 'entrance' point around the deck, and I haven't seen any critters...but since 8 o'clock this morning, Buster seems intent on getting under the deck to get at something!

Buster never usually digs. Now he's digging at the base of the deck, sniffing it like crazy and whining like a little baby!

I think he's convinced there's something in there -- and he's desperatly trying to get at it...maybe he thinks whatever it is will make a yummy snack :p

I'm wondering how we'll find out if we have any unwelcomed tenants!?

I think you just did FIND OUT. good boy Buster!!!!! (please give him a few pats on the head for me) and great pics! did you look under the deck?

on the bright side, it's OUTSIDE your house. Tucker and my 2 cats ripped through my mudroom closet this past weekend... and found a vole! needless to say, they all got treats for finding it. It was too cute, so I had my bf catch it, and put him outside.... where my youngest cat found him the next day... and tried to bring him back in the house to be her "pet vole". she didn't harm him, put him down ever so gently and patted him... I nearly died laughing.

Cat, skunk or gopher . . . . . that's what gets Abby and Keeper obsessed with the deck.

Pray it isn't a skunk. If it was though, you'd have already smelled him. They stink!!!

I think it's probably rabbits,my neighbor has a pile of junk in his backyard and a family of bunnies are living there,I have seen the little ones coming out for an excursion(cute as anything)and both Bailey and my cats are very interested, luckily there is a fence between us:p

I think it's baby bunnies too. Our neighbors boxer got hold of one this week-end, we were able to get it off her before she did any damage, but the poor little thing must have been in shock, it died shortly after:sad:

I know it seems really cute when they are trying to find that unknown critter under the deck, but would you really want to see what happens if Buster gets hold of it? It was really sad for us and the neighbors, their daughter cried her eyes out when the bunny died. JMO

I tried with a flahlight and everything...I can't see what's there he's so interested in. I figure if it was askunk, he would have sprayed Buster, I'm thinking maybe a squirrel? Or a bunny, we have alot of rabbits in my neighborhood.

Anyways, I covered the whole he made, and told him to 'leave it'. Hopefully he scared whatever was in there enought so they'll pack their litle bags and leave tonight :o

I hope the little critters move out soon too!!
Now how can a sweet face like Busters scare anything:love: He looks so much like my neighbors Boxer Sadie. I'll have to post some pics of her soon
