I have an aging shih tzu who is going to be 13 this year. Recently his back legs have started shaking while he's standing. Is this a normal part of aging? Other that this, he is still pretty spry and runs and plays like a puppy. He's sleeping more than before too, but I think that's to be expected. He eats well (too well) and is normal except for the shaking. Do you think I should make a vet visit with him?

If you are asking if we think a vet visit is in order, then you already know the answer. When in doubt, see a vet. We can't diagnose over the internet. Good luck and let us know what they say!

Yes, a trip to the vet is definitely in order. A 13 year old dog should be having a checkup twice a year. Please let us know the results.:pawprint:
