Hello, my name is Teri, and I'm new here. I have 2 dogs a chihuahua named Alita, and a min dachshund named Libby. I also have 3 cats> Bambi, Jake, and Max. I have 2 rabbits named Mo and Thumper and the kids have their own hampsters.
I recently found myself with 3 abandoned guinea pigs. A friends' friend was boarding with this single mom who was mistreating her guinea pigs. 2 had already died and the remaining 3 lived in filth and without proper food.
I agreed to take them until this person could get out and into their own place.
It's now been 2 months and this person has changed their mind. I don't know what to do with the guinea pigs as I already have enough on my plate.
I would like them to go somewhere decent as I feel they have already suffered enough.
If anyone has any ideas as to who would be willing to take them I would be very greatful.
My humane society isn't enthused about taking them, and with so many people having snakes I'm nervous about putting an ad in the local paper.
