[F][/FONT] I have a question about my 2 male cats. I had them both fixed and one of them is starting to spray and I think the other one is to but not as bad as the other one is this normal I called the vet where I had it done and they said it was normal if I had strays coming around my house I always thought once you had them fixed they wouldn't do that. Thank you for your help.

Hi and welcome!

Yes, some neutered cats (and even female cats) can and will spray if they are stressed. Having intact male cats spraying around your house will stress your own cats.

The spraying helps them feel more secure and comforts them, since then everything smells like them - "This is MY territory!"

You can try something like Rescue Remedy and put it in their wet food every day to help them calm down and hopefully stop spraying.

It's very maddening when you are responsible, have your cats neutered yet still have problems because of other irresponsible people who don't bother taking care of their own pets.
