Depressed dog won't eat.

I have a dog who is 9 years old. In the last week or so she has been acting really depressed and moping around the house. She has not eaten more than one piece of food in the last 2 days. We have tried hand feeding her, but she moves her head out of the way. Obviously we are going to take her to the vet if she does not get any better in the next day, but before that, I am curious as to what I could feed her if maybe her mouth is sore and does not want to eat dry food. Would feeding her like rice and beef broth or chicken broth be okay or is that bad for them at all?

When was the last time you took your dog to the vet? When was the last time she had blood work done? At nine years old she is "a senior" and should be having blood work done at least once a year.

Boiled chicken and rice will not hurt her (make sure the broth is low sodium or sodium free) BUT make sure you get her to the vet as soon as possible as she is definitely trying to tell you that something is wrong.:pawprint:
