Cat vomiting

May 13th, 2006, 07:13 AM
My cat is almost 12 years old (strictly indoor cat) and has vomited daily 2-3 times for the past 3-4 months. She has NEVER vomited before this. Sometimes it is a hairball but most of the time it is fresh dry food or bile. She is still active and acts normal all day except for the vomiting. I use the sensitive diet and hairball formula from Purina. She had bloodwork in November 2005 and it was normal. Do you have any ideas what is wrong? Thank you.

Have you been to the vet since November? If not, a lot can happen in six months. I would head over and have them check it out. The vet is really the only one who can diagnose anything.

I agree. A 12 year old cat (or dog) should have a check-up every 6 months as alot can happen to an older animal in that period of time.:pawprint:

Also, Purina isn't a very good brand of food. Check out the food forum here for some better options.:pawprint:

As the title of the forum states: * If your pet is vomiting, bleeding, has diarrhea etc. seek vet care.
Please seek vet care and post again with an update.
