Dull nail clippers and scissors

I was wondering what you all do with your dull grooming tools? After a year and a half of cutting nails, I think they are really dull.. My hair sissors I've been trimming with are going dull, and I have a clipper blade I want sharpened.. and no one in the sharpening section of the yellow pages seems to do small scale stuff. It's all hedge clippers and saws..

Since most people at least cut nails.. do you toss em and replace them or?

My suggestions have been that it's dirt cheap at dog shows.. but that's not that that helpful I don't think for me.

Is it a guillotine one? They sell replacement blades for the guillotine ones. Last time I bought them, they were $6 for 13 blades.

Most knife and key places can sharpen clippers and scissors.

Ask your local grooming shop where they get theirs sharpened as not just any sharpening facility have the know-now or equipment to do blades, or get in touch with the blade mfg (Oster, Andis) they will sharpen what they make and also scissors.
