Yey! Prin BSc!

April 28th, 2006, 10:03 PM
I'm DONE!!! I took my last exam today. Hopefully, I'll pass everything and get my degree. It's a weird feeling. I've never finished everything in my life... :o

I'll be the designated driver tonight.;)

It's weird having a calendar with nothing on it. Hey, at least I'm used to having my bank account empty.:highfive: :D

But I still have to figure out what I'm going to do next year...

Ah well, life goes on. :)

Congrats, Prin!

April 28th, 2006, 11:08 PM
Thanks! I don't really see it as success though... It doesn't get me closer to a job and I'm more than a few thousand in debt... But it's still good to be done.

April 28th, 2006, 11:18 PM
WOOHOO Congrats Prin!!! Everything else will fall into line, I graduated without a significant job too (once upon a time) and found one in short order :) Enjoy the silence, once you start working, you'll miss it :)

April 28th, 2006, 11:26 PM
Whoa! I thought for a second you were going to make a kid reference and there ain't none of that happening... (you know, "Enjoy the silence, once you start [pumping out the babies], you'll miss it"... )

I'm looking into a master's program about doing genetic testing on dairy cows and trying to correlate milk production to its genetic component... But I've never been around dairy cows (except for staying on a dairy farm when I was younger) and I might be missing classes about cow care and animal health... We'll see. I have to make an appointment to speak to the head prof still.:)

April 28th, 2006, 11:45 PM
Congratulations !! That's money well spent. And education is something that no one can ever take away from you. It's a great stepping stone towards making your onw decisions in life. Good for you !!!

April 28th, 2006, 11:48 PM

April 29th, 2006, 01:10 AM
:highfive: Woo hoo! Congrats!!!! Feels great, eh? You'll figure out what to do next, don't worry. Just enjoy the sudden stress relief for now. :highfive:

April 29th, 2006, 02:18 AM
I certainly hope you put some extra marshmallows in your cocoa tonight.:D
lol no cocoa tonight! Exam time means no time for shopping, which means no milk in the fridge... Not so bad, but no milk means no sweets either... :D

Thanks for the brightest side, Skryker.:)

April 29th, 2006, 03:21 AM
Well, I don't know what a BSc is; I assume it's the equiv of our "BS" only yours lacks the fun connotation. I guess you better get used to a little BS though if you're going to work with bovines.

It's been said already, but no one can take your hard work and accomplishment away from you, even if you have to work at McD's. Just kidding, a lucrative, challenging and rewarding position is in your future. :)

April 29th, 2006, 04:02 AM
Congrats Prin! Kick back for a few days before you worry about what to do next. You deserve some R&R.

Congrats Prin! :thumbs up

April 29th, 2006, 03:12 PM Yay!

OK, you want drinks? You got 'em babe! Is that enough, or would you like another? I'll need your car keys first, though. :D

Seriusly, it's a wonderful accomplishment. You should be very proud of yourself. Way to go!

April 29th, 2006, 06:34 PM
Congrats! Do you have to "apply" for graduation where you are? I had to do that because I did an "independant study" and they had to assess whether I met the requirements of the Degree. That was a hard waiting time.

Now go out and party!!

April 29th, 2006, 08:07 PM
Yeah, I had to apply about 3 months ago and they charged me $40.. They also wanted $40 for the grad pics and that fee didn't include any for me (so **** that... I'm not paying $40 for my pic to be in some untravelled hallway for eternity).

Shannon, it's a BSc, as in Bachelor of Science. Technically, my degree should say
"Baccalaureate of Sciences, Biology (specialization)".

April 29th, 2006, 08:36 PM
Yeaahh congrats Prin - you worked hard for this you should be very proud - I hope make lots of money and buy Boo and Jemma fancy futons. :D

:D

April 30th, 2006, 08:26 PM
Congratulations Prin! All that hard work has paid off! :highfive:

May 1st, 2006, 12:09 AM
Congratulations! :thumbs up

If you're like me you'll probably feel restless for a little while. It took me a while to get used to not having homework or having to study for a test...always felt like I was forgetting to do something. It passed though! :p

May 1st, 2006, 12:23 AM
Cool! We're graduating the same year!! Way to go Prin :highfive:

May 1st, 2006, 08:22 AM
Congratulations, Prin! I remember finishing my BA, then my MBA, and thinking, "now what?".

Be proud of yourself, you did a great job!!!!

May 1st, 2006, 08:36 AM
Congrats Prin!

May 1st, 2006, 12:19 PM
Thanks everybody! :) How come no one's drinking yet? C'mon, it's Friday!

"It's okay officer, I only had a couple of drinks so I'm not too drive to drunk.":thumbs up

CONGRATULATIONS Prin!! And be prepared to pay $100+ for a degree frame on your convocation day (they rob you even AFTER you graduate)

May 1st, 2006, 05:19 PM
lol So I guess I just have to staple it to the wall then.:D

Thanks everybody! Yeah, I keep looking at my calendar to see what's due next week... NOTHING!:D :highfive:

MEB- Same year, but I'm probably at least 4 years older... I took time off to have fun...

I'm glad I'm done though. My transcript is so long, it's crazy. I think I'll graduate with 115 credits (you need 90...). It's fun too because the man still doesn't have a job, so we finally get to spend some quality time together.:highfive:

May 1st, 2006, 05:21 PM
Congratulations Prin!

No more nightmares about getting papers in on time

May 1st, 2006, 05:30 PM
lol they're still there.. Scarred for life (or at least for now). :D

May 1st, 2006, 05:34 PM

Post Traumatic STUDY Disorder

May 1st, 2006, 05:35 PM
Yep... I spent 4 years wishing I was done and now I'm done... I have to find something new to wish for.;)

May 1st, 2006, 05:58 PM
MEB- Same year, but I'm probably at least 4 years older... I took time off to have fun...

Actually, I might be older than you (I'm 28) -- I wasted alot of time in Cegep (I have 2 Cegep degrees : one in arts and one in Photography...I also studied in pure and applied science) and went to university in TESL (teaching english as a second language) I've done my fair share of classes :D

I'm trying not to get excited about being done the bachelors, 'cause I have 2 NIGHTMARE semesters ahead of me in the fall (21 credits a semester, then an 8 month's like the never ending school!

Boy, my bf will be real happy when I'm done!

Are you doing a masters? Have you decided yet?

May 1st, 2006, 06:15 PM
Congrats Prin.... sorry a bit late off the take.:thumbs up

May 1st, 2006, 07:14 PM
Congratulations:pawprint: :thumbs up :pawprint:

Glad for you, you worked hard , now take some time and play hard, before you work(the job) hard.

May 2nd, 2006, 04:23 PM
Three cheers for Prin!!!
Congratulations to you!!! :thumbs up That is fantastic, well done!!

May 3rd, 2006, 12:41 PM
Thanks!! So far I've got an A- and 2 B+'s for this semester... Not too bad for a girly who barely managed to keep up this semester.

MEB, where's your brag thread? I'm looking and I can't find it anywhere! ;)

May 3rd, 2006, 01:06 PM
An A- and 2 B+....I'd say that's pretty damned good.

They say "good things happen in threes". First this, then reaching the 10,000 mark here, so I wonder what's next?:D

May 3rd, 2006, 01:11 PM
The Bamboo floors! lol We're bambooing our bedroom floor, finally. We're about 1/3 done and maybe 20 years older since yesterday. :D

Besides, I have a lot of bad luck, so good things coming in ones or twos is good enough for me! :)

May 3rd, 2006, 01:38 PM
The Bamboo floors! lol We're bambooing our bedroom floor, finally. We're about 1/3 done and maybe 20 years older since yesterday. :D

Like the bamboo hard floor? Those are AWESOME!! Our friends just installed some in their basement (it's really good flooring to have in a humid area, since it doesn't react nearly as much as regular mapple or other hard woods)

Your back must be killing you! I remember 3 years ago, my bf and I decided we'd do all our floors ourselves. It was a killer. WE did the ceramics in the kitchen and hard wood everywhere! It's hard work! Take lotsa advil!

May 3rd, 2006, 02:08 PM
Yep.. Killing. And my hammering muscles.. My man is in there working getting annoyed that I'm not helping (hey! I had to catch up!!!)
