My aunt wanted me to find this out for her... she was wondering if there are any programs in canada (specifically ontario) that spay and neuter stray cats (and even dogs) for either free or for a reduced fee... about 4 years ago 4 stray cats that live in her yard had kittens, she contacted the toronto humane society, but they wouldnt do anything to help her. So she got in touch with this program called AVA(?) and they sent her traps, then set her up with a vet to get the cats spayed and neutered, and all they asked for was a donation. Anyways she tried getting back in touch with this group but couldnt get in contact with them. She would like to find another organization thats similar because she would like to do a monthly donation type thing and would rather donate to a group that supports and helps people with getting stray cats and/or dogs spayed/neutered.
Thanks!

There are groups that look out for the well being (shots, sterilization, etc) of ferrel cat colonies. You'll get some hits if you google the words - feral cat colony toronto ... There are groups like this in Ottawa, there are two famous colonies, one on Parliament Hill and one at the Airport.
