Has anyone used a dog ramp to get a dog out of the water up onto the swim platform of the boat? There are a few ramps on the market, all very expensive. just wondering if they really work? I have 3 Golden Retrievers.

Thanks

Not out of free water and into a boat but, we do use a ramp at a therapy pool. One of my grrrls (who is timid and a tad clutzy anyway) was nervous and had to be dragged down the first couple of times, fell off it once or twice but, once she got a handle on it - she was fine. This is a fixed ramp though not free floating as are the boating ones (I think...). I wonder if you could negotiate a "free trial period" with one of the dealers because you're right they are EXPENSIVE.

No idea what the costs are locally

I looked at one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.ca/SKAMPER-RAMP-LARGE-Dog-Pool-Ladder-Ramp-new_W0QQitemZ4452823381QQcategoryZ3243QQrdZ1QQcmdZ ViewItem

It is considerably cheaper than the pets aboard ramp, which is $229 on ebay
