What Meds for betta?

well I think my betta may have a fungal infection. You can only notice it when the light is just right. Looks like a light grey/white patch on his head. I did a quick search and it looks like this:

Hes still eating really well, very active. Was even making his bubble patch. So no changes in behavior other then eating my minnow lol.

So whats a good product to treat this? And will this spread to my frog and minnows?

Looks like ick to me but I'm no expert. You can treat the water with something for ick... just as your local aquarium supply store.

I thought ick was smaller almost like dots. This is more like a small patch.

Does not look like ich at all to me.
Looks like he has rubbed against something and caused
a wound.
I would treat with a combination of Melafix and Pimafix
at a rate of 1/2 TSP for 5g, dose both 4 times, then do a 50%
water change.
Or treat with Maracyn 2, 1/2 Caplet per 5g every day for 4 days,
do a 35% water change, then repeat.
It is likely a bacterial or fungal infection, very minor.
It is unlikely it is transferable, but keep an eye out.

does it look like white fuzz? Sorry I can't see the picture.
If it does then maybe it is Flexibacter columnaris, which can be caused by:
Sudden increases in water temperature
Overstocking
Infrequent water changes
Low water oxygen
Elevated nitrite levels
Uneaten food in the tank
If you think your betta has this make sure the temp is around 75-76 (but not higher), and treat with Maracyn and Maracyn-Two together, also if you don't already have one add an air stone to increase airation (flex loves warm water with no airation).

Well it looks exactly like the picture i posted. doesnt look fuzzy, just a patch. I keep the temp @ 78deg. Do water changes once a week or so. Waters clear. All my levels are good.

Anyhoo, treating it with melaleuca. Thats what the fish guy gave me. We;ll see how he does in a few days.
