Southwestern Alberta, about 20 minutes from Calgary. If you've seen Brokeback Mountain, you've seen where we live.

Your pictures are amazing! I'm sure I can't speak for most people that anytime you want to post pictures, we are more than happy to look at them. You truly live the life that most of us dream of!

Gorgeous. They look a little colder than usual, but that doesn't deter me from wanting to be there.:)

Thanks for the comments . . . . .

A few more . . . .

The path . . . . . gruesome discovery down this way as we found the corpse of what was obviously a newborn deer, weathered and wrinkled by the long winter but curled peacefully in a fetal position, untouched by predators, as though it died peacefully amid this beauty . . . .

Skyler enjoys a cushion for snoozing while the elusive, formerly feral, Daisy hangs out on the arm . . . . a common position for watching TV

Pond hockey in Alberta, cowboy hat, hockey stick and man's best friend . . . roadside scene near Bragg Creek.

I know I can't compete with Rick pictures, but this is the best I can do. This is our backyard (look past the weeds and dried grass, we are in the process of fixing this) :o

Very pretty yard. :) (I don't care much for grass anyway).

Jesse'sMommy . . . Beautiful yard . . . . . Abby and Keeper might like that one better than the one they have . . . . . they're not big on sweeping, epic type views. I'm not sure you would like them digging holes though. I'm a water guy myself and would love to have a lake nearby.

Abby likes looking for muskrats in holes in the side of the banks of Chain Lakes.

Incidentally, here's Abby & Keeper's friend, the luxuriant Maude, a former feral cat . . . . Maude and Daisy are sisters.

And some elk we encountered a few minutes from our house. For those familiar with the area, this is about three miles from the Millarville Market.

We had a very muddy walk along the Sheep River the other day . . . . and went down to the river near here on a path a little less steep!!!
