You know I swore up and down when Tai - my Samoyed cross and the absolute hairiest dog I have ever come across - died, that my next doggie would be virtually hairless, able to use a litterbox and have exercise needs completely satisifed by putting away the laundry ( ;) ). Now I have three MAJOR furry monsters who live to get dirty. I wish I was but, alas am not, diligent about doing a thorough grooming every day. A quick once over with a sable brush and de-burring we do daily but, generally they will only endure a weekly brushing. Two of my monsters are double-coated and all three have very long feathers on their rumps, legs, sides and tails which get very tatty quickly. Any recommendations for detangler sprays? I've tried the human kids' stuff to no avail and I prefer to use natural rather than petroleum based products. I figure grooming would be less of a trial for all of us if they weren't so ratty-tatty.

I use mane and tail detangler for Tucker's nice long tail and leg hairs.

Thanks Frenchy but, I don't find the 2-legged kids' stuff works all that well.

Who is the manufactuer Doggylover and do I need to get it at a tack shop or can I buy it elsewhere? I'm downtown Toronto - not too many Tack or Feed stores near Yonge & Bloor strangely enough;)

I don't think we have any Rite-Aid pharmacies and I'm anti-Walmart ...but, I'll happily buy ya a Timmy's anyway - in fact there's a 24 hour one just up the street. You could hop on the I-whatever and be here for breakfast! I'll check around - I'm sure there must be a tack shop somewhere in Toronto.

Mane n tail should be in any shoppers, or any where else you buy shampoo and conditioner. It's a well known people product now..

I guess having been bald or near to bald for so long I don't pay attention to hair products much ! I'll check at Shopper's. I don't think there are Zehrs in Toronto - Kitchener/ Waterloo yes, cuz I remember shopping there as a kiddie. Thanks muchly !

Walmart carries mane and tail, its cheaper there than at farm supply or co-op's anyways.
