Nighthawk March 3rd, 2006, 08:31 PM This is going to be the new home for all the pictures of my 14 week old Sheltie, Ellie.
Tomorrow will be one of the biggest days of her life as she moves from out tiny apartment to her new home complete with backyard. Small, but roamable greenspace none the less.
Here are a few of Ellie's first introduction to her new home:

More to come...
Prin March 3rd, 2006, 08:43 PM Are you giving her away or are you moving?
Nighthawk March 3rd, 2006, 08:48 PM She's my baby of course I'm not giving her away. ;)
We're moving. It was her that actually started the whole move from a rented apartment to a bought house.
Prin March 3rd, 2006, 08:55 PM Ahhh... the way it should be. Our dogs did that to us too. Who'd have thought our expensive, money-draining dogs would help us move up in life?:D
joeysmama March 3rd, 2006, 09:03 PM Yep, life as it should be ! I made job decisions based on the puppy. I'm not sure he appreciates it but he holds a lot of sway around here.:)
doggy lover March 3rd, 2006, 09:48 PM Watch what kind of plants are in your yard, it looks like English Ivy and I believe that its bad for dogs. Its the stuff on the ground in the second pic. Check a site on good plants for having pets and watch out for the bad ones. Just a word of caution, you have a beautiful puppy, hate to see anything happen to her.
jiorji March 4th, 2006, 10:36 AM hmm i'm a bit confused....why is there no snow in your yard?!?!?
she's a real cute puppy though :D more pictures
Frenchy March 4th, 2006, 10:58 AM No snow in backyard;because lucky nighthawk lives in B.C.!And lucky Ellie to,a new house, backyard, cool.Congrats to you both.

When I lived on the island I had that ivy all over the place...sort of like a weed. I don't know what its called but my cats hid in it and Winnie (My dog) jumpd into it all the time. I really would feel awful if I find out that they were ion dangerous ground. We were very lucky
doggy lover March 4th, 2006, 02:42 PM I wouldn't let her eat any of it, and yeah in BC the winters are not cold enough to kill it back so it is a weed.
Nighthawk March 7th, 2006, 11:01 AM Thanks for the warning about the ivy. I am looking into it and will most likely remove it. We have had no luck finding a sliding glass dog door yet so she is generally supervised when outside. There are many more pics to come...

.unknown. March 7th, 2006, 04:20 PM awe she is so tiny compared to the kitty, do they get along well??
Nighthawk March 7th, 2006, 05:41 PM They get along great. Ellie is actually larger than maggie now. Sometimes Maggie will initiate the play by walking up to Ellie and swatting her while her claws are retrackted.
