Problems with my kitties

Hello everyone I am new here and need a piece of advice.

First, my sister owns a cat that she purchased right before her husband left for Iraq he was only around the cat for about one month and then was gone for about eighteen months. He has now returned and her cat keeps peeing on only his items of clothes. She is beside herself due to the fact that obviuosly she loves her cat Bella but her husband is getting mighty annoyed at the constant peeing on his things. Does anyone know how to stop that? I know the cat might be jealous of the husband as before the cat was getting all the attention and now it doesn't? What does everyone think?

Thanks everyone! ;)

Just remember that cats don't pee on things to be spiteful or jealous. They do it to communicate stress, and cats have a low tolerance for stress. It comforts them to pee on things, thus surrounding themselves with their own scent.

When I married, my cats wouldn't even eat if my husband fed them. I think they were suspicious that he was trying to poison them.
