It's on dvd now, with Nicolas Cage... It's about an arms trader's rise and fall. I have to say, this is a guy drama if there ever was one. Women are scarce and when they are involved, they're objectified in a bad way or they're too dumb to realize what is going on. The movie seems to be going nowhere as we follow this selfish greedy guy through his life, but it ends with a pretty strong political statement.
I'd say 7/10.

I've seen this movie at the theaters and I loved it.
It was hilarious.
The movie tried to dramatize/humanize the life of a gun salesman/dealer. It opens a peephole into the world of arms dealing and the politics around it.
I felt it was a comic/action/drama flick of a regularly heavy issue.

Hmm...I wonder if you're thinking of the same movie Joanna. I saw this in the theater and found it very serious and mildly disturbing. It was certainly entertaining but not something I would watch again.
Definitely some strong political messages.

I thought it had a great ending.
Definitely not your typical hollywood happy ending.

Nope. It's true too. "We" need these people, unfortunately.
