Toxic Teddy Bears

Ok dont worry this relates to dogs. Today My fiancee and I were switching through channels to find something good to watch. When we were flipping we found a news channel that was saying that there are some toxins either on the stuffing in teddybears..but also could be on the outside of them too.

Well a while ago I had put a post on my fiancees dog having seizures. Well I had gotten my fiancee a big teddy bear a couple of valentines ago..and the dog chewed it up quite a bit..ripping off the ears. Though its not the only teddy bear he has ripped up.

So now just recently it hit me. Maybe the toxins from the teddyberas caused my dog to have seizures. Though i wouldn't just worry about pets..also kids or babies who put stuffed animals in their mouths.. So probably wash them regularly. but is it possible this stuff gave my fiancees dog seizures?

I don't know... I know some dogs who live off teddy bears and they seem fine... Maybe it's some teddies and not others?

my little girl (10yo GSX) loves teddies and dollies, she has a huge variety of teddies and knitted dollie,s all ranging in price and quality. she does not chew them though, she carries them in her mouth very gently but she does not rip into them or anything. she has had teddies since she was a baby, and never had a negative effect.

if the dogs not a collector per se, perhaps just put up teddies, it could have been the stuffing, its not often nice stuff and not very natural....

but no negative effects here.... and my pretty girl plays with her dollies all the time, she will often just wander around with them form corner to corner, its very cute and charming...:D

only a vet could really determine what cause the seizure..
