If your dog is high risk for bloat make sure your dog food does not have a fat in the first four ingredients. Read article at: http://www.jaaha.org/cgi/content/abstract/42/1/28

Also a good website on bloat is: http:www.globalspan.net/bloat.htm :pawprint:

Hmm.. if anybody is rich and can buy the rest of the article, I'd like to know exactly what foods were involved and what fats were involved. The two fats listed in the example brackets were both bad ones (sunflower and "animal" fats), so even if those two increase bloat, good foods have neither in them. What if there's a better fat at the 4th ingredient?
