We got this mail. UGH!! Again, poor animals have to suffer because of irresponsible people.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Today I got a call from the friend of a friend who has 5 cats to find homes
>for since her children showed signs of allergies. Two of the cats are
>uneutered males, two are pregnant females, and one had kittens today. I
>have called and emailed everyone and every rescue that I could think of
>trying to find homes for them.

If you know of anyone looking for a cat, or
>if your rescue could take any of them it would be wonderful. The owner of
>the cats called the SPCA and they said they would euthanize them for $35
>ea, but that is not what (owner) wants since she says they are all lovely
>cats. The cats are good with children. I know that the cats should have
>been neutered, but since they weren't I am trying to help find them a good
>home where they will be neutered and cared for. I only heard about them
>today, so please don't ask me why they weren't neutered, but I suspect it
>was a lack of funds on the part of the owner

The person who emailed is in Pincourt. Not sure where the cats are.

I can give you this person's email if you think there is any help out there.

The cats are in Pointe-Fortune. I spoke to the lady yesterday. She knows nothing about cats and had no clue they could have babies before the age of 1. She had planned to get the cats fixed, but had not saved the money yet. The first pregnant mommy had not given birth yesterday, so I guess it just happened. The lady says the two others are pregnant, but she thinks they will give birth in April...

I might have a foster for the mommy and kittens, but there are still 2 possibly pregnant females (maybe we still have time to have them spayed ?) and 2 unneutered males...

I"m so disgusted I feel like giving up.

Did this woman tell you she wanted to send them all to the SPCA? I guess when she found out she would have to pay, she decided she didn't want them dead after all...unless it was free.

Anyway, Poodletalk, I'm PMing email addy.
