Well I thought since we were discussing breeds and not everyone knows what they look like, here is a link to all the final judging of all breeds. Click on the group you want to see. It gives everyone a better look at the dogs. Plus they are all so darn cute you will end up watching lots of them.

But wasn't that show advertised to play on both Discovery and the Animal Planet?! I know it did not play on Discovery and was wondering if maybe I had the days or times wrong or if it just didn't air on Discovery? (I don't have the Animal Planet station)

Awesome website I love the Westminiter Show. Joey has been in a few shows up in Alaska but apparently he hated it according to his old owner. I love the way the English Cockers are perfectly groomed - dont know if Joey will ever be that way again. I dont have much luck with the clippers so far.

This is Joey in his show days.

This is as close as we can get now to a show stance. My son is trying to hold his back end up - but he keeps sitting.

Joey looks beautiful,in show-stance or not:love:
Did the owners give him up,when he was no more show-material??
I am hoping that is not the norm with show-dogs:sad:

Its hard to say his former owner is a breeder and she now has eight cocker spaniels. I guess Joey would have been number nine. Apparently Joey didnt get a long with the male dogs in the house. Although now he doesnt really seem to get along with a lot of dogs especially big ones.

Joey wasnt bred because he had a tooth missing and he was to closely related to some of the dogs that he would be bred with.

Anyways I still keep in contact with the owner and sent her pics of Joey. I found out also there is some domestic issues going on there which may explain some of Joeys behavior. (maybe) Perhaps Joey wasnt getting too much attention having to compete with 8 other dogs. At least here he doesnt need to share us with anyone.

I have heard that some breeders like Joeys old owner will give up there adult dogs when they get too old to breed, or in Joeys case are not quite up to breeding standard. Joeys owner actually found us first - I doubt she would have taken him to a shelter it sounds like she was waiting for the right family to come along for them.

It's weird on the westminster page I can't find any whippets or greyhounds, But they do have Italian greyhounds.
