blue buffalo dog food

We recently changed our dogs food to blue buffalo. I know it is very good food but it is giving her a lot of gas! One of the ingredients are sweet potatoes. Wondering if that could have anything to do with this. comments appreciated.

Do you have the rest of the ingredient list? Gas can be caused by fermenting organisms (things that don't require oxygen to survive), like yeast, or other substances like soy products, that are hard to digest. Some dogs just have a hard time digesting some things without any logic to it.

Blue Buffalo contains barley and rye- two gluten containing grains. They might be the cause of the gas, as they are harder to digest than gluten-free grains like rice.

What were you feeding before? A comparison of both foods' ingredients might solve the mystery...
