My friend just had a litter of silver lab puppies 12 days ago. They are now developing oily coats and their stools are yellowish white with clumps, almost like the mother's milk is curdling inside them. But the mother is fine. Any suggestions would be great!

BRING THEM TO A VET, at this age they really need attention. By the way what the heck is a silver lab. Is it a new designer breed ?

Breeding dogs can be very costly. These puppies have to go the vet.

There's no such thing. It's just a variation on "yellow" but sounds exotic.

Silver Labs are actually dilute blacks. They do not meet breed standard as the breed standard only recognizes all black with a spot of white on the chest being permissible, as per the CKC website. Therefore, these puppies (and probably their parents) should not be bred.

Please tell your friend to take these puppies to a vet ASAP as Rottielover said. They are very vulnerable at this age and their lives may very well be at risk. Once they are healthy again, your friend should talk to her vet about getting them all spayed/neutered, including the parents, as they are not breeding quality pups. The world really doesn't need more poorly bred puppies.
