Kitty Comfort

January 23rd, 2006, 03:36 PM
My daughter has a low-grade fever and nothing else and our kitten keeps trying to join her in bed. Is this okay or will it harm either of them? Whiskey's a recently neutered 6 mth old (last Thursday) and quite persistent. He is used to giving comfort to my girls when they are upset or sad so I think this is trowing him off, since I'm trying to keep them apart.

I see no harm in allowing your kitty to comfort your daughter. Hope she is better soon!

Oh no,don't keep them apart, the kitty needs to know your daughter is ok and I imagine it's a great comfort to her.
Every time I sneeze or cough, one of my cats comes up to me meowing, wanting to comfort me,really sweet:love:

Thank you guys sooo much. Everyone is happy now, after getting over a 24-hr bug. Being a first meowmy I tend to get a little over-worried.;) Now we're off to an extra day of comfot.:)
