Toni, my 11 year old cat, died of cancer.

He had lymphoma of the small intestine, and lived an amazingly long time with it. More than twice the expectancy. He also had fatty liver. That actually did him in, in the end.

So, the moral of this story is, if your cat, or dog, for that matter, is fat, GET THE WEIGHT OFF NOW.

We are currently doing the battle of the bulge with the 2 of the 3 other cats and already got it off the 2 dogs.

I'll worry about myself later.

I still here him purring all over the house.

Thanks,
Amy

Oh - I am sorry. But it's good, sort of, that at least you know.

I totally agree about overweight pets. I HATE to see a fat dog or cat, and it's so common! At least here in the US, where more than half of all people are overweight too....

I bet a significant percentage of pet illnesses (organ failures, diabetes, joint and connective tissue problems) are due at least in part to obese pets.
