When I came home from shopping today, there were three cats sitting outside the apartment building--one right beside the driveway (that didn't move as I drove the car right past him!), one on top of the fence beside the place, and one sitting under him next to the fence. They looked well-fed, but I couldn't help thinking "what if", so I poured some kitty food on the concrete for them as a late "Christmas dinner." They ate it, but they were so friendly and sleek that I'm sure they have homes.
But I can't figure out why they were all sitting around here to begin with. At first I thought maybe they were males attracted to my neighbor's cat (they haven't spayed her because "she's an indoor-only cat"), but then I realized one of the cats was a calico. So it was probably female, right?
It was weird, I've never seen any cats outside in the neighborhood before. Maybe they were having a convention. :D
