Yep ten dogs, step right up and count them.
Four of my own and six loaners?
Where will I put them? I'm dog sitting over the holidays and wondered if anyone has advice?
Most of the dogs know each other so thats not my biggest worry.
Just my Cocoa is of concern she has met all of the above but not since she was a small puppy. Do you think she will remember? Or am I in for an interesting week? She has tried to assert herself as alpha dog lately and not got the result she wanted do you think she will try this with the visitors.

I do have plans to separate them for the first while (or for the whole visit if nesassary) I have a baby gate between the kitchen and the hallway. This gives me two areas to confine and separate the dogs. Oh yeah, the visitors are all reg. Doxies and most of mine are Shih Tzu crosses (Mavis will sleep outside she never wants in the house and don't worry she's not going to be cold she has more than adequate shelter)

Just in case I rambled too much my concern is Cocoa do you think just keeping her seperate will help?

I think regardless of the socialization, you are going to have to separate them once in a while anyway. Dogs get crabby when they are never allowed a little peace and quiet...

Well they're here.
Two visiting boys in the porch in their box gone to sleep I hope.
Four visiting ladies in the hallway two of them are just pups and all of the ladies are whining.
My babies are in the kitchen and behaving like the little ladies and Gentlemen I always wanted.

Wait until tomorrow and they all need to go outside. Or two in the morning whenever they need out.

I think I must have been crazy to have even considered this a good idea. I don't know why my husband agreed. Oh yah, I didn't ask him. Be proud of me though I did say no to "Bower" the Lab that they were looking after (he went to a brother of my husbands)

Oops, one of the pups is a boy.

Oh my gosh Mavis just set up a howl at the coyotes and all nine of the others joined her (Help where can you get earplugs at this time of night?)
