Maggi - Lost Great Dane Oxford Station,ON

December 13th, 2005, 07:08 AM

Just after 4:30 PM on Sunday December 11th, our Great Dane Maggi
(have pictures, please email for them) went missing from our home in
Oxford Station, ON. I had come home from working at the Vet Hospital
and as always; I let the dogs out of the house. We had a person
doing some work at our house that day as well and when that person
left about 5+ minutes later; Maggi was gone. I am not trying to say
that this person took her yet in the 7 months that we have had Maggi
SHE has never gone away from our home. When we talked to that person
this AM, they indicated they did not know her whereabouts.

Maggi is the second Great Dane in our area to go missing in the last
couple of weeks. There is a Brindle Female missing in the Perth

We have had a very long sleepless night and I am now sending out an
email to all that I can to please keep an eye out for her. I will be
touching base with all local by-law and animal org's as well in the
hopes of getting her back. I am offering up a sizeable reward for
her safe return.

She is microchipped with the number tracing back to her Breeders and
I have let them know plus the Vet Hospitals should someone try to
bring her in. I plan on also touching base with the papers /local
media later today.

Maggi will be 5 years old in January 2006; she is spayed, has all
dewclaws removed; weighs just over 120 pounds and her color is
called a MisMarked Mantle Merle. She is not wearing a collar at this
time for I removed the collar in preparation to give her a bath
later that night. Maggi is very obedient and one of the sweetest
creatures I have ever been blessed to know and we are beyond
devastated at this time.

PLEASE CROSS-POST AND KEEP her in your thoughts for her safe return.
We are scared to death for her.

Hi Sean and Gwen:

Maggie is so beautiful and I feel for you as my dog has been missing for six weeks. Where is Oxford Station? If it is nearby, I will keep my eyes open and you can keep yours open for my Jasper.

Take care of yourselves. It won't help Maggie, if you both get sick.

Hi Elaine,
Oxford Station is near Perth Ontario. I have posted this on behalf of Gwen and Sean. They work with Rehab Great Danes and Maggi is one of their own. I know they will both move mountains to find Maggi and we have posted this far and wide to help in the search. I will pass along your message.

My mother is in Perth, I have sent her a copy of this post. Because we have a dane she tells us whenever she hears things like this. She also does Welcome Wagon and visits homes regularly in the area so I am sure she will keep her eyes open for one who looks like her.
