i saw that you mentioned red barn treats in another thread and i just looked them up on the internet and it doesnt seem like they are sold in a store anywhere. i got the impression that you have to order them on the internet. i was wondering if you or anyone else knew if there were sold somewhere and if so where?

i had never heard of them before either but i looked them up and they look yummy. they have bones, raw hides, hoofs, etc and they are all filled with something such as cheese, peanut butter, liver filling...after the dog has gotten the filling out you can put your own in. i just thought it might be neat to try but i dont think they are sold in a store anywhere.

That's neat...the peanut butter one's sound good!

I know that most pet stores carry sterilized bones (some that are empty and some with filling) but maybe they aren't as good as the red barn one's?!?! But you could try that and when your dog finishes it you could put your own, healthier filling in!

Red Barn products were recommended to me by our dog trainer.

I don't order them online, they are found at a number of pet supply stores in my area - but i'm not in Canada. I have found them at Petco though, so if you have a petco nearby, they probably have them.

I got Tucker 2 large filled bones, which I now fill with my own stuff - cream cheese, pb, etc... but I like their other products which resemble pressed board - it's like shavings of rawhide, reformed to make a bone - more easily digestable than giving a plain ol' rawhide. (we all know how dangerous those can be)

sorry it took me so long to post - we had 15+ inches of snow yesterday - knocked out our internet for most of the day.
