Too overweight to groom

I have a cat who is overweight and cannot groom herself around her private area. (She is on lite food & Vet diet food, but is still 20 lbs)
Sometime she is pretty stinky because she has a lot dry urine around the area. Will this cause any health problem for her?

Right now, it's a problem for my husband and I. I don't want to give her baths very often, because I heard that's not good for cats. Is that true?

Any other suggestions? We use baby wipes but it's not working...probably because we don't use it often enough.

I would suggest you go to a groomer and have them shave the area around her bum and vagina short; this will help elimanate any waste that might get caught there and using a baby wipe will be much easier then.

Your cat's obesity is more dangerous than her not being able to groom her butt.

Heart disease, diabetes and joint problems can ensue.

I would take her off the dry food and feed canned. I've never seen a fat cat who ate canned only.
