I think maybe, my daughter and Harley will just have to visit. Where abouts is it, how far from montreal ??

it's a fair ways from Montreal but the drive is just beautiful, really. About 11 hours north-east of Montreal - we first drove to Quebec city to break up the trip, then completed the drive to Port-Cartier in under 8 hours, not driving fast & stopping often along the way. So worth it when you stay for a long week, and have the good luck of gorgeous weather (july & august are great). we rented a huge cottage with private beach, everything except food included & dogs welcomed, for $750. 3 bedrooms, satellite tv, dvd, washing machine, new bbq, big deck, etc... here are some photos:

back of cottage (deck faces the sea):

front of cottage, totally private:

and again the big beach!

Do you have a phone number of this place that you can PM me? Sounds like a great get-away for next summer.

here is the cottage website link, with phone number, calendar for availability, etc. the owner is a really nice gentleman :) (scroll to the bottom of the page for phone # and email address)

(i just saw there is no calendar for 2006 availability yet, nor pricing. I assume this will be updated soon...) We did reserve a week for July 2006 already.
