Help, stinky kitty!

November 26th, 2005, 12:39 AM
So Booster, with his wonderful timing, tries to leap onto the toilet seat JUST as I open the lid. And of COURSE I forgot to flush the toilet after cleaning the (flushable litter) litterboxes, so it's full of disintegrated litter and kitty pee. *facepalms*

Well, I gave him a bath so he wouldn't be licking icky stuff off himself, but . . . well, he's still kind of stinky. What can I use to clean him off and get him smelling kitten-fresh again? Would dog shampoo work? There's a dog supply store two blocks away . . .

Yes go ahead and get it. I don't know a groomer who uses different shampoos for dogs and cats. I would however not use any kind of human shampoo. What you may want to pick up is the deodorizing shampoo.

You can also add 1 tbsp. of baking powder to whatever shampoo you're using on the lil guy. I found my siamese got as clean as she was going to with that combo - she was a water cat and took the toilet plunge more times than I care to say :P.
