Lost Cockatiel in St. George, Ontario, Canada -- HELP!

On Saturday 12 November, our pet cockatiel Bobbie escaped from our house in St. George. She was last seen flying towards Russell Crescent from Victor Boulevard. She is mostly grey, with a yellow crest and chin, bright orange cheeks, and white underneath her wings. Her tweet is quite high-pitched and shrill, and is distinctive from other wild birds. She is very sweet and tame, likes people and will not hurt you if you try to catch her. Please try to catch her if you see her! Bobbie loves millet, and could be possibly lured to you by any sort of food that is crunchy (like bread or chips) or stringy (like sprouts). We are offering a reward for her return. We miss her very much and we are wishing for her to return home, safe and sound! If you find her or see her, please call Marjorie at 519-448-3495 and leave a message or at 519-751-5544, extension 2424.

Here is a photo of Bobbie:

Thanks for all your help!

Did you note the pet bird found in Toronto. A bird could fly that far!

Thanks, Elaine -- it doesn't look like it was her by the update (that bird was a lovebird) -- but it is reassuring to know that people read these messages!

Chances are that if you have her on this site, you probably have posters out too. Please don't miss putting them in parks, vets, pet stores, apartment buildings and all around the neighbourhood. I don't know if its true, but someone told me that birds usually try to go to open grounds with lots of trees.
I am probably not very helpful, but I hope there's a happy ending to your story. Good luck

Thanks for the advice, cpietra16. At this point, I feel all we can do is wait. We put flyers in the mailboxes at every home around the area she was last seen flying, posters up all around town, called the local radio station and SPCA, and put up notices online. Hopefully she will see a person and fly down to her or him! I still have some hope...
