This weekend, we put down our boy, Chris.. he was 14 years old and had a variety of health issues, so we felt it was time for him to be finished with all the physical pain he was enduring...

He will be remembered greatly, for his big personality and the joy he brought to us... rest in peace baby...

Sorry to hear of your loss, 14 is a good age for such a big fella. Looked like he was very happy. My thoughts are with you

Mrs Bungle, I am so sorry for the loss of your boy Chris. I hope this poem brings you comfort, it is so hard to let go of our pets but we do the best we can in the short time we are givin to love and care for them. I am sure Chris had the best life with you. :grouphug:

They say memories are golden,
well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place,
no one can ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway,
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to Heaven
and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us
one by one,
The chain will link again.

I'm so sorry for your lost. He lived a great life and 14 years! That's a good age to reach for a big fella.
